Manage your headaches

Stressed out? Finding yourself with your head throbbing? Usually stress can trigger headaches but since I had them almost every day my senior year of high school I got different reasons why I get them and why they don't go away. Senior year was very stressful and that is one of the main reasons why I got headaches. Also, I have to have coffee everyday. And when I didn't have my coffee... I would find my self trying to sleep or in a room with no lights because my head would hurt so bad. If you think that is why you are getting headaches try for a couple of days not to have coffee and then slowly day by day your headaches will go away. If you wanted to look more into this because you are dealing with headaches daily or even sometimes check out this website that tells you a lot. Manage your headaches! I went to a doctor to see what was wrong with me since I got headaches everyday.  He told me to cut back on the caffeine! Ever since senior year was over and I knew what college I was going too.. the headaches were gone! I only get them once in a while if I am stressed out about college work ;)

  1. To this Day I have that exact problem. But for me its a catch 22. Since my freshman year in college I have had a cup of coffee pretty much every single day on the week, especially mon-fri. Coffee helps me wake up and pay attention in my 7:50 and 8:15 classes, without it I felt like absolute crap. I tried getting off coffee and skipping some mornings to see if it would make a differece, it did but I wasn't awake when i didn't have a cup of coffee. I then soon after resorted to caffeine pills, which is another story in itself. I thought it might work becuase it was a different source but I still had the same result. I also went to the doctor and he told me to cut back on my caffeine consumption as well. For one hole semester I cut out sugar completely, candy, coffee, soda everything. My headaches went away completely.

  2. My headaches are stress induced. I find sometimes a cold cloth at the back of the neck helps. I am not usually a coffee drinker but when I work so many hours and have school work to accomplish, which in turn forfeits sleep to accomplish what I need to, I turn to the flavored coffee as my side-kick and cheerleader edging me on to finish the tasks at hand. When classes are finished it will be back to the no coffee and green tea regiment.

  3. I do not get headaches to often. But I am one of those coffee addicts. I have a coffee almost everyday and more often every Monday threw Friday. It helps me stay awake during my early morning classes as well as get threw my long days when I can't fit a nap in. When I do not have a coffee I can tell the difference I find it hard to stay awake and function during the early morning classes. I do think after reading this that I should start to ween myself off of my daily coffee so that I do not start to get dependent on the caffeine. I could incorporate more sleep and a healthier diet to help keep me more alert during the days. I do know several people including my mother, who do get sever headaches when they do not have their caffeine.
