Finals week for students is a very long, stressful week. It can be 2 weeks depending on when you start studying. It is starting to be that time of year when it is finals and when students need the most concentration they can get and healthy food for them to stay healthy. You should be eating right, to keep you healthy during finals week but also to keep your brain moving. If you are not eating the right food during the times that you have to study the most then you will just get tired and not want to study any more. It happens to me a lot when I don't have coffee because that is what keeps me awake when I am studying for hours at night. Get hungry at the mall when you are shopping? I think it happens to most of us..especially when we are shopping for hours. Don't want to eat the junk they have there? Foods to keep in mind during the Holidays... the best and the worst..


The holidays are here! Trying to keep yourself on track with your diet? Everyone knows this is the hardest time of year to keep your weight on track and the diet that you want to have going good. It is so hard when there is so many different kinds of foods all around you..basically through the course of December. I have a problem when it come to sweets. That is the hardest thing to keep away from because there are so many options and you just want to have all of them. The best tip I think is that to keep drinking water instead of.. juices..or eggnog or cider, or soda. Those are just added on calories that you don't need because you are already having so many calories with the food. What to do when you are starting to feel sick...

It is the worst feeling when you know you are starting to feel sick. Can you prevent it the cold from happening? Sometimes if you are lucky. You should always get enough sleep when you are feeling sick and that could help a lot. Or maybe sleep is all that you need. I found this great article to read to help you not to get sick. How much water should you really drink a day?




I am always trying to drink as much water as I can because I know that is good for you and helps clean out your body. What I have found out is that you don't need to drink as much as you think. All you have to do is calculate 75 % of your body weight. For example: if you weigh 150 pounds, then it would be 112.5 pounds. That is 112.6 ounces. You shouldn't force your self to drink water if you are not thirsty. I sometimes find myself doing that because I want to get all the water that I need in for one day. Somethings are not good to have a lot of, in this case..You can never have enough water. It helps out your body so much especailly if you are very active or play a sport. If you are trying to loose weight and you dont drink water then defiently start and you will see a difference. If you are a soda drinker--try water next time! You will feel better, and not as full and it is zero calories compared to how much soda is. I think water is a huge health issue because people don't drink enough of it. Buying water bottles can get expensive, you should just buy a water bottle so you can keep re-using it. Try it out! :)

To eat or not to eat?

What to snack on when your hungry? I usually try to go for something healthy... one of my favorite snacks is baby carrots. I have heard a lot of different stories about them lately. Are they good for you or bad?  One weekend when I was home I was talking to my trainer at the gym and she said not to eat them.
